One woman was taken to the hospital and six people were displaced Wednesday morning in a fire in Greenwood, according to the Seattle Fire Department and the American Red Cross.
Officials did not release immediate information about the cause of the fire. Crews were dispatched about 1:20 a.m. to the Seattle Housing Authority’s 81-unit complex Lictonwood, at 9009 Greenwood Ave. N. The department tweeted photos from the scene showing a large response and an image of the southwest corner of the building.
A woman was taken by ambulance to Northwest Hospital & Medical Center for “basic life support,” according to the Fire Department. Her condition was not immediately known.
