WASHINGTON, DC (WJHL) – A second congressman has signed on to co-sponsor Rep. Phil Roe’s (R-TN) legislation that would evict over-income families in public housing.

Just this week, Rep. Bradley Byrne (R-AL) agreed to be a co-sponsor.

Our 2013 Community Watchdog investigation prompted the legislation. A federal audit previously found more than 25,000 over-income families living in public housing, while more than 500,000 people sat on waiting lists.
