2009 Scholarship Information

PNRC-NAHRO will award the following five scholarships to eligible applicants in 2009 at its Annual Conference to be held in Boise, ID May 4-6:

Jesse Epstein
Scholarship (1)
$10,000 for a graduating high school senior attending a four year college program of study. (Awarded to the highest-ranked Challenge College Scholarship applicant.)
Challenge College
Scholarship (2)
Two $4,000 scholarships for graduating high school seniors attending a four year college program of study.
Continuing Education
Scholarship (1)
A $4,000 scholarship awarded to an individual who has been out of high school for at least four years and wishes to pursue either a college education or training in a professional field
Community College
Scholarship (1)
A $2,000 scholarship awarded to a graduating high school senior attending a two year community college program of study
Scholarship payments are made over the course of the enrollment period (for example, $1,000 per year for a $4,000 scholarship over a 4-year program of study), providing that continuing eligibility requirements are met.

October 24, 2008 Scholarship application forms available on PNRC’s website
February 13, 2009 Scholarship applications due to applicant’s Housing Authority
February 27, 2009 Housing Authority nominations due to Chapter Presidents (each agency can submit 2 Challenge/Epstein, 1 Continuing Education, and 1 Community College Scholarship application (no more than 4 from one agency)
March 20, 2009 Chapter nominations due to the Regional Vice President for Member Services (each Chapter can submit 2 Challenge/Epstein, 1 Continuing Education, and 1 Community College Scholarship application (no more than 4 per Chapter)
April 10, 2009 PNRC Regional Jury selects Scholarship winners
May 4, 2009 PNRC announces scholarship winners at its Annual Conference in Boise, ID
