JUST ANNOUNCED! Now available online, this NAHRO Professional Development e-Learning will help you become proficient on current HUD HCV Homeownership guidelines.
Presented by Georgi Banna, NAHRO’s Director of Policy and Program Development, this live instructor-led session will review guidelines and explore options for implementing and managing a successful HCV Homeownership program. Learn how to accurately determine family eligibility, review verification requirements and dig into hands-on case studies designed to help you accurately complete assistance calculations.
Participants will also learn ways to improve their programs by integrating with Family Self Sufficiency and other homeownership initiatives; discuss how to develop the necessary partnerships to succeed; examine examples of best practices for programs, partnerships, lender requirements, counseling, and policies; walk through methods for avoiding pitfalls that lead to poor implementation or the loss of valuable resources; gain an understanding of the mortgage lending process and its interface with the program; and investigate techniques for ensuring your operation meets RIM requirements. This e-Learning will also cover HCV Homeownership requirements governing assistance for special needs populations such as the elderly or disabled.
All participants earn 0.5 CEUs that can be applied toward NAHRO CERTIFICATION TM and recertification requirements.
