BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) — The need for affordable housing in Ada County is critical, says Deanna Watson, executive director of the Boise City/Ada County Housing Authority, especially as several apartments have stopped offering affordable housing options.
“Not only does that displace the people who had been living there,” said Watson. “But it reduces the number of units available to everybody who is looking.”
And Watson says the proposed Sandhill Crane Apartments in the Whitewater Park area would help ease the affordable housing shortage: nine buildings with 50 apartments ranging from one bedroom to four, all affordable housing.
