It’s the final week of August advocacy! Take action now to support responsible funding for housing and community development in the upcoming fiscal year!
There are just two days left in August recess and we still need your help to send 2,500 letters to Congress this month. Ensure that your voice is heard on Capitol Hill this month by sending a letter to your lawmakers urging them to approve an FY 2018 spending bill that provides responsible funding for housing and community development programs.
September is shaping up to be a politically difficult and busy month; prior to adjourning for the August recess, neither the House nor the Senate completed its FY 2018 budget and appropriations process, leaving only 12 legislative days to put a spending bill in place before the end of the fiscal year on September 30. This process could be made more complicated as the debt ceiling is expected to be reached on September 29 and by the President’s recent threats of a shutdown over border wall funding.

Please tell members of Congress today to reach a budget deal that does not force cuts to domestic programs and to finalize FY 2018 spending as quickly as possible. We’re less than 500 letters away from our 2,500-letter goal. Reach out to your Congressional representatives today and help us achieve it!
